Hi Karen,I am in buffalo for my fathers funeral and stayed to see Slaid since there are no Denver dates. I was hoping you could ask him to play Temporary for my father Carmen Longobardi. I wanted to play it at funeral but church said no. Just thought I would Ask. Thank you,
Ralph, glad we met in Buffalo. Hope to see you in Denver next year under lighter circumstances.
No question here, just the warmest thanks from this Canadian who travelled down to PA to take friends several more miles to see you for a memorable show at Godfrey Daniels, and for beckoning Charlotte to come speak with you after the show. In her expression, your work is powerful. Though you probably didn't see it, your finale of Go for the Gold made both of us shed tears right in front of you.
My husband and I saw you last night in Chatham, NJ and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. I know you reference Robert Earl Keen on your new album in the Texas Love song. I can't help but notice how very similar (almost identical) the melody in "Hometown USA" is to his song "Paint the Town Beige."
Was this done on purpose?
Warmest of regards and thanks again for such a great show last night,
