I recently came across New Year's Day - beautiful, inspiring lyrics. What does 'telling tales of the blue and gray' mean?
Thanks for writing, Steve - "Cousin Perry" is part of a Texas family I met soon after arriving in the Lone Star State (from Maine, where I had gown up). Perry's a bit of a Civil War (or as southerners sometime call it, "The War of Northern Aggression") buff, and has great respect for Maine's General Joshua Chamberlain. So that's how our friendship started off, talking about the soldiers who wore the blue uniforms (Union) and the gray (Confederate).
Hello there Mr Cleaves,
My girlfriend and I were wondering if you would be gracing our presence in Seattle again this year ?
Slaid! Dang it! This a.m. I saw an email with your names in the "from" column and subject "coming to Austin?" or something like that. The email disappeared before I got to read it! please send again - thanks! - Lydia - LFBosley@Q.comSlaid Cleaves responded on 03/11/2017
