Just like to say Ghost on the car radio: great work!
Much appreciated. I had a good team on that one (as I always do).
Dear Slaid and Karen We hope you are well. We are coming again to SXSW but this time bringing friends and we were hoping that we might see you for a coffee or meal as we did last time? It makes such a difference to our visit if we can hook up with people we know as it adds to our experience of our visit to your part of the world! If you are busy then we can’t! We are there from 12th March to 19th March. It would be so good to meet up with you and hopefully you will be playing somewhere? Hey! I was all set to see you in Staunton, VA, only to find out today that the venue closed down! Now I know why musicians cancel shows—or have shows cancelled ON them ;-)
I decided to drive up to Norfolk for your May 5 North Shore House Concert instead. Looks like a very cool venue and they’ve certainly had some great artists there—including you! I’m looking forward to it.
We exchanged messages recently about your plans to come through the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill/Carrboro (NC) area in October. I put in a good word for you at The Arts Center in Carrboro and also with the coordinator of the Durham CoHo concert series. It’s a small but mighty venue in beautiful downtown Durham that has hosted well-known singer/songwriters who enjoy the intimacy of house concert performances. I’ve seen JohnSmith, Jess Klein, and Zoe Mulford there. Friction Farm is playing on March 24th. Like The Arts Center, you would find an enthusiastic and welcoming crowd there.
See you in Norfolk!
