Hi Slaid, big fan here from Portland Maine, excited about your show at One Longfellow on October 3rd. While your in town I wanted to extend an invitation to Maine Craft Distillery for some food and drinks!
Hey, thanks so much. Looks like you are right across the street from where my old band, the Moxie Men, used to practice. Good thing you weren't there then . . .
I believe we will be in Portland for a couple of days before the One Longfellow show and will definitely try to work in a visit. Cheers, Slaid

It's your 70-year-old fan from Chapel Hill. Already looking forward to seeing you at The Tin Pan on October 10 and here at Forty Acres on October 13. I'd consider coming to Winston-Salem and Asheville but you told me to "pace myself" so... That same week, I've got tickets to see Chris Smither at Forty Acres the night before you're there, AND in Saluda, NC, on the 14th, so I'm not sure how good a job I'm doing of following your advice :-)
We met at the North Shore Point House concert in Norfolk in May. I really enjoy singing along with you on your CDs, Slaid, and continue to tell others about you. When someone posts something online, I'll think: that person needs to hear Slaid Cleaves's song XXX and I'll send them the link..With the current state of world affairs, I'm sending out "Drunken Barber's Hand" a lot. Seems apropos.
You are right in there with Richard Thompson, Nick Lowe, Chris Smither and Warren Zevon as my most-listened-to singer/songwriters.
