So here is the question. How come you came to write Drinking Days. Was it in the persona of someone else
Indeed, a lot of my songs are not descriptions of my own life, but attempts at portraying or assuming other (more interesting) lives. My friend Wranglin' Ron Coy said in the midst of a tale one time: "I wasn't even drinking . . . that much." He says lots of things that end up in songs of mine.
Not a question. I have been performing your Drinking Days in Northern Ireland for some years. Dont worry, we don't get paid. And I have the T shirt. Sadly I havnt been able to play it for nine months as the drink took over after 28years of absense. I now do One Good Year. But I'm gonna order the T shirt again. 😎🍁Slaid Cleaves responded on 03/10/2019 Next question
Thanks for your contact. Seen you twice at the Real Music Club in Belfast. Here ends my trolling of you. Peaceloveandunderstanding 🍁😎🍁Slaid Cleaves responded on 03/12/2019
