Hi Slaid, I love your music. Sad, heartfelt, honest. I saw you in concert and loved how you made it intimate and connected with the audience. I was wondering if you would be interested in writing a song for a friend of mine.
The gist; we play in a band together, she plays fiddle and mandolin, I also play fiddle and the piano and sing, but I'm not good at writing songs. Lise is her name, she is a granite stone carver, an amazing artist. She used to carve wood in the Gasbay peninsula now she's in St. george Maine. She lost her daughter, Isabel Linsey Becu who was also an artist and musician. Isabel left home at 18.She became a hobo, hopping trains, playing music on the street to earn money. She traveled all over the US on her own, and eventually went to Europe. Still traveling by hopping trains. One night in France she got hit by a train. When I heard the story, I thought this needs to be in a song. ? Cami (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi Cami, Thanks for the kind note and thanks for sending along that sad, sad story. Sure does sound like something off one of my albums. I'm not in writing mode at the moment, but I will copy your note into my song folder. If I'm able to come up with some verses someday I'll be in touch. Thanks again, Slaid
