When are you going to play Gruene Hall?
I have many fond memories of playing "The Hall" in days gone by. These days, however, it's just not a good fit for where I am in my career: I'm too big for the small room and too small for the big room. So as soon as my career either takes off unexpectedly - or tanks - I'll back.
Hi Slaid, I love your music. Sad, heartfelt, honest. I saw you in concert and loved how you made it intimate and connected with the audience. I was wondering if you would be interested in writing a song for a friend of mine.
The gist; we play in a band together, she plays fiddle and mandolin, I also play fiddle and the piano and sing, but I'm not good at writing songs. Lise is her name, she is a granite stone carver, an amazing artist. She used to carve wood in the Gasbay peninsula now she's in St. george Maine. She lost her daughter, Isabel Linsey Becu who was also an artist and musician. Isabel left home at 18.She became a hobo, hopping trains, playing music on the street to earn money. She traveled all over the US on her own, and eventually went to Europe. Still traveling by hopping trains. One night in France she got hit by a train. When I heard the story, I thought this needs to be in a song. ? Cami (email@example.com)
